The Court House

The St Albans Court House is perched on wooded slopes of Hawkesbury sandstone, high above the beautiful Macdonald River and the tiny hamlet of St Albans, first settled in about 1804. Less than two hours from Sydney, the Court House building, originally consisting of a courtroom, police station and lock-up, now offers comfortable overnight and holiday accommodation in elegant and well appointed surroundings. The building is recognised by the National Trust and enjoys a "heritage" classification under Hawkesbury Council's local Environmental Plan.
